Last Minute Gardening

We spent the day yesterday putting down new soil and fertilizer, and then filling it up with transplants and seeds. We are at the very end of the planing window for our summer harvest, so we hope that all goes well. What went into the ground so frantically?

Tomatoes
Zuchinni
Yellow Squash
Patty-Pan Squash
White pumpkins
Corn
Green Bell Pepper
Anaheim Pepper
Artichoke
Bush Green Beans
Scallions
Lots of sunflower seeds that Ty planted everywhere
(most likely won't grow)
and misc flower seed packets that Nathan found
and put everywhere that Ty didn't.

Where did we put all the veggies? In every available patch of dirt that was unoccupied. Veggies are mixed with flowers in both the back and front yard. We didn't plant a lot of all of the seeds, just a super good assortment -- here's hoping everything takes!

Yum...I'm getting hungry thinking of all the fun things you could create from that fabulous selection! Artichokes! Love it! Especially funny when they bloom afterward. Watch out for pincher bugs, though. For some reason they loved my parent's artichokes & would freak me out when I'd rinse them off & the little buggers would crawl out in my sink!
