Cupcakes and Pies in Jars

I have seen a few posts lately about baking desserts in jars. I absolutely love the idea. You must click here to read about baking individual serving sizes of pie in pint size mason jars. What a cute thanksgiving idea! It isn't too hard -- you just line a jar with pie crust, pour in your pie filling, and top with a pie crust (using the ring from the jar to cut it the right size. Bake until done. So cute!

Along the same lines is baking cupcakes in a jar. Click here for instructions. It isn't too tricky. Grease and flour jar. Pour in batter. Bake until done. Frost. Make cute label for the lid. I even saw another idea that you bake them in a taller jar, layer filling, place another from another jar, and then layer the icing. Brilliant idea for party favors or gifts! I am going to have WAY too much fun with this one!
